May 21 - Diversity Day
Diversity Day, officially known as World Day for Cultural Diversity for Dialogue and Development, is an opportunity to help our communities to understand the value of cultural diversity and learn how to live together in harmony.

Make a new friend - someone who is different from your usual crowd.

September 21 - International Day of Peace
Peace can be related to violence/intolerance in our daily lives, to peace of mind. To each of us, peace can take on a different meaning, but, in the end, it all comes down to a simple definition: a state of calm and serenity, with no anxiety, the absence of violence, freedom from conflict or disagreement among people or groups of people.

Participate in Pinwheels for Peace to send your thoughts about peace to the world!

October 16 - World Food Day
World Food Day / End Hunger Day is an opportunity for the global community to unite in an effort to help raise awareness about the global problem of hunger. World Food Day was adopted by the United Nations General Assembly in 1980 to commemorate the founding of the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) of the United Nations in 1945 (resolution 35/70). The official goal of the day is to "heighten public awareness of the world food problem and strengthen solidarity in the struggle against hunger, malnutrition and poverty."
